It seems to me that the Will and Sam linebackers are lined up outside the DE's. Would it not be more helpful the bring them inside of DE's, to help with those runs inside.

I was screaming this shite in the stadium Saturday night. We left a 15yd hole in the middle of the field way too much.

There are a lot of things the LBs need to do better. Like avoid blockers or just get rid of them, stay with their reads and not try to be a hero, and play with discipline leaving the other players' responsibilities to the other players. They can also not leave the back open and chase the QB who is still scrambling behind the LOS.

I saw a linebacker shoot his gun like he had never shot a gun before. But it is possible to improve and become a marksman.

so you are saying we should have a 2nd level of defense behind our weak defensive line...i think it might just work

I know they are not out of position per say, that is the defense that is called, and they are going by offensive formation. much to often it seems as if the Mike linebacker is on an island. I realize the purpose of a spread offense is to create space, but maybe we should rely on our safeties more fore coverage and our linebackers for stuffing the run.

I think the Dl is doing a better job than most give them credit for. they are holding blocks, but not getting any run support.

don't question chavis. his defense only gave up the most yards ever in miles tenure.

I agree. I think the D would look a lot better if out offense would do anything..

Saw this too. Did not understand why we gave them the middle of the field over and over again. It may have been to keep Dak in the pocket, idk. But adjustments were never made

I would also like to see pressure brought up the middle instead of the edge, but we all knew this is a young football team. There will continue to be growing pains, but I am still excited about the future.

Maybe they were in 0 coverage and were taking away the inside routes from the two inside receivers.

Our problem is that DT's are not strong enough to push the O lineman back and they are able to be pushed to the outside creating a large opening. This was what made Chad Lavalais, Dorsey, Brockers and Logan so great, they completely clogged the middle so the other team could not run up the middle.

I saw this at the game and thought WTF?? Thought it was kind of stupid to let them spread the D that far, but somebody with alot more football smarts than me is supposed to be coordinating that.
