Airstrike hits group plotting to blow up airliners with toothpaste bombs

The group of seasoned terrorists planned to 'imminently' attack a US airliner or other target using a bomb without any metal parts, toothpaste tubes and clothes dipped in explosives, an unnamed US official told CNN.
President Barack Obama ordered the strikes after intelligence reports discovered the plot this week, officials claimed.

Again, I see no reason why I should believe any if this.
Just like the report that a Russian jet flew past an American ship, or any of the random reports about a "terrorist" caught trying to do something.
It seems to put me at a disadvantage since I don't trust them to begin with.

How are we sure there weren't any U.S. citizens in that group?
Unless we're 100% sure - this isn't Constitutional. We've got to check the ID's an citizenship status of everyone before we bomb them.
