Did ios 8 break anyone else's autocorrect?

This shite is changing words I don't want changed. And it doesn't give me the x to tell it not to. It doesn't correct obvious words like "guve" to "give". Sometimes I tap the suggested word and it just spaces instead of finishing the word. Can I turn it off?

hmm. haven't had those problems. You can turn off suggestions by just swiping down on the keyboard to collapse the suggested words area.
It has been throwing in random/stupid hashtag phrases that I've used as autocorrections. Also posters names. If I type slow, it suggests slowflowpro

Go to settings. Keyboard. Play around with the predictive and the auto correct

I'm sure you can turn it off. If you want it to forget a word is saved, just hold it down when it appears and it should give you the option to delete that word from correcting in the future
