Will we finish in the top 10 or outside of it? Are recruits waiting to see more or improvement from LSU?

That is bullshite. We will finish between 12-18. The talent is Louisiana is weak this year and we are not in the real running for many top 100 players that are uncommitted.

Of course, this assumes we hold what we have, which if we are honest is a big assumption right now.

Yep, Bama ended last year with a two game losing streak and their recruits were like rats jumping off a sinking ship.
Smh.

Ok, my apologies. Who are we going to land that will keep this class in the Top 10 that is on the board and more likely than not to commit?

Getting 2/3 of Tillery, Jackson, and Johnson would put us comfortably in the top 10. Getting all three would likely be top 5.

Oh, I agree. But that only gets us to 17 recruits if we land all three, which is unlikely. That leaves probably at a minimum 10 more slots to fill based on the attrition we have right now.

Let's assume we land those and keep what we have...who else do we get to keep this class in the Top 10?

Every school currently in the top 10 has at least 5 more commits than us, with 3 having a lower star average. 5 of the 10 have 7 more committed than us.

We still have:

5* Tyron Johnson on board, #1 in state
4* Donte Jackson on board, #3 in state
4* Deshawn Raymond on board, #13 in state
4* Jerry Tillery on board, #8 in state

That's just in state

You're saying this because you're a negative frick, and people are calling you out on it. You want to be right, and have LSU be hurt, rather than be wrong and look like the moron you are.

You are what's wrong with this fan base.

You're missing the point. Landing just 2/3 of the ones I named gets us in the top ten. Even adding a 3-star increases the point total, which is how the classes are ranked. Including the other spots and the likely slight bumps of Ducre and Guice only puts us further up the list.

Jerry Tillery, Donte Jackson, Tyron Johnson, Kyle Phillips. I'd say we're the odds on favorite to land all of these kids. All top 100 prospects. Deshawn Raymond, Justin Reid (if we offer), and Jalen Bates are some lower ranked kids we'll likely land. We could also land Jaason Lewis, Derrick Dillon, Bo Wallace, and Jonathan Taylor. All these guys are 4 stars. Arthur McGinnis is another guy who the coaches may offer. And then if course we've got a long shot at Jamal Peters, Damarkus Lodge (may not be that long), and Terry Beckner. So yeah, our class will probably end up ranked around 8-5. Possibly higher if we land a couple surprises.

And many believe to be a Texas Tech lean, at best 50/50 right now with TT pointing out our QB problems.

4* Donte Jackson on board, #3 in state

UGA lean

LSU lean

Likely LSU lean

LSU, by most school standards, will have a good class. I personally think we finish outside of the Top 10. Moreover, the problem with finishing even No. 8 now is that you will have three in your own division finish ahead of you.

That doesn't mean a thing when pointing out 1 specific class. As long as this class doesn't completely tank like the '12 class, we'll be okay. As long as we are in striking distance with A&M, Auburn and Alabama on a 3 year average, I won't complain.

This class, and recruiting, is about addressing needs. I'd love to print a recruiting championship shirt every year, but a top 10 class (which this will be) that fills needs is the name of the game. This class is all about OL, RB, and DBs. I'd say those areas have already been well covered, and the remaining spots are icing.
