not every year no.
the west is getting tougher every year.
not to mention LSU will have UF every yr. (they aren't going to be down forever)
making a serious run at the division is what you want every yr but 2-3 yrs in a 4 yr cycle is more likely (but getting tougher). making a serious run at a conf and natty can be done 1 or 2 of those 3 yrs in a 4 yr cycle and no one has done it more like clockwork than LSU since 03.

also forgot to mention the dvision is getting tougher and LSU has faced unparalleled attrition to NFL in past two yrs.

LSU's recruiting rankings over the last 4 years don't equal top 5 talent so I agree with you that I would not be content if we had top 5 talent.

Not every year. We can go 5-3 or 6-2 as long as we contend for a title at least once in a five year span.

No. Not every year. At LSU's level and recruiting ability, we should be in the running to win the SEC every few years.

You can't go 5-2 or 5-3 in the SEC. You can only go 6-2 or 5-3. This seems to be the concept you are consistently missing.

No, but I might have to warm up to that feeling this season 
Fuc that though, every game is winnable with the talent on this team. If the defense is not going to stop SEC teams, outscore them then, and don't keep putting the D back on the field after several 3 and outs.

I'd be content going 0-8 every year. I enjoy the hell out of wins, but I don't allow the record of my alma mater's football team affect my level of contentment.
