Pretty much same band run by Jason Molina who drank himself to death at the ripe age of 39 last year.
Farewell Transmission

I think Magnolia Electric Company's best work is
"Such Pretty Eyes for a Snake."

That song is phenomenal. That whole live album just kills and shows a whole other side of Magnolia Eletric Co. than what you get with the studio versions of the songs. They can freaking jam.

Dark Don't Hide is one of my favorites and eerily prophetic if you really get into it. What a waste of a great young talent in Molina. After hearing of his death I often wonder (and sorry for the hijack), what would musicians like Molina have been if not for their terrible demons. Sure, there are success stories out there (jason Boland, jason isbell) that have resulted in success, but with Molina we are left with wondering what could've been?

Great album. Have the vinyl which is a double LP of different versions of the album

This entire album is one of the best albums of the 2000s. Simply put it just speaks to me in a way other records do not. Molina had one of those voices that made you feel his hurt and therefore had you hanging on every line. Can't say enough good things about this album.
