This new system will come in the form of a novel streaming service, which will alter the standard format of gameplay. Currently, the basic idea is one game for one PC. But when those games become cloud games, developers will be able to utilize multiple CPUs and GPUs, harnessing the power of a "supercomputer" and achieving gaming experiences not possible with the limited capabilities of singular game consoles. Shinra's goal is to create virtual worlds that are constantly evolving and that "can truly have history."

Wasn't that kind of the purpose behind the "always on" and cloud computing function of the XB1?

Doesn't seem like a new idea. I wonder if PC owners will bitch and complain as much.

What have PC owners been complaining about in regards to this?

Probably not on this board but some will. Some people hate steam because of the online drm even though you can go into offline mode if needed.

They haven't and won't. That's why I said "wonder". Early in the XB1 news I was really intrigued about comparative possibilities, but the console crowd punished essentially the same idea.

The only thing that scares me is something happening to Steam, A LOT of people would be screwed if something unforeseen happened and all that was gone.

I thought about that when I originally got into Steam. I decided that I wouldn't care if I lost 90% of those games.
