For those calling for Harris to start

And I am one of those people. Do you actually think that Miles is gonna throw it more with a younger, more inexperienced QB. Hell we don't throw it with out starter.
And the whole "he doesn't know the playbook" is BS. They run a total of 10 different plays a game. Its amazing how Lane Kiffin can install a whole new offense for Bama starting in the spring. And they are one of the top offenses in the nation. Our coaches are the problem, not the players

the LSU coaches are dinosaurs and the game has passed them by... MSU blanketed dural and made jennings roll to his right all night. took away his 1 read and he struggled
lots of people have been predicting this but we got fools gold for two games in a row against weak teams.

The problem is we can't open up the playbook with Jennings because he just isn't that good. Harris is a superior talent - he has incredible arm strength. With Harris at the helm this can be molded into another pro-style offense similar to Mett/Hill/Jarvis/Beckham where we open up the playbook and pass more. We have similar skill players, they are just young and need time to develop.
It would behoove the coaching staff to let them play together a year, develop some chemistry, get used to SEC play, and in a year or two we have a real contender for a national championship - dare I even say a favorite? Harris/Fournette/Dural/Dupre/Quinn is the future of LSU.

but miles is so kooky, and zany! Did you here what he said in that press conference! lawlz. we should give him a raise!
nevermind MooState put up 600 yds of offense, and we had Jennings skipping passes to receivers and managed less than 80 yds rushing.

Why the hell not play Harris and attempt to throw the ball more? What do we have to lose. If Miles can't see that the this horrible O he wants to run is going to be exposed all year long then he is much dumber than I thought.

I agree with you but I'm pretty sure it's a lot easier to check down on X-Box than in real life.
The play were it was 3rd down and gaol. We run a play fake, roll right, Jennings looks endzone, clearly not gonna make a play and throws anyway. The fullback was literally 3 yards in front of him and had nothing between him and the goalline. It is plays like these that I cant stand to watch. Especially on a play where the progression is deep to short. Deep guy covered throw to full back. That is all he has to do and he cant

I'm glad somebody sees just whats happening on here instead of just wearing purple and gold glasses.

No he wont! Youre right. He'll sit back and start the wrong guy again next time too cause hes too damn stubborn. This has to piss oc's off bad.

We probably don't throw it with our starter bc the only successful throws he's had has been a stop route on the outside and a few bombs.
Even the screen passes with Jennings look awkward.
I know Jennings has the arm to complete most of his passes, but it seems like he's reeling it back in instead of just throwing the ball.

The last two point conversion was worse. He rolls out and decides to keep it. There was clearly no chance of him getting in and a defensive lineman chased him down

see i think Jennings just got spoiled the 1st 3 games with the big passes to dural. Count how many times in the state game he tried to just throw it up to the outside receiver down the field and it almost never worked.

that's because other teams look at film
LSU is an easy team to game plan for this year

I am convinced that Jennings hasn't gotten to the point where he can go to Plan B on any given play.
I am surprised that him taking the sack on one of the 2pt conversion plays hasn't gotten more attention on here. He rolled right...then decided to try to get to the end zone on his own when the receivers were covered, but was stopped a few yards short. At least throw the ball up for grabs!! Maybe a miracle will occur...who knows....but don't take the sack short of the goal line.

This is my second time to post this:
On the sec network several wks back. , booger McFarland said that Harris was clearly the better qb but coaches had chosen Jennings for the starter , he then said so what's that say to the rest of the team??

Haven't been on here since before the game.
My thoughts are Jennings's ceiling is too limited. I like the guy, but he seems incapable of consistently making intermediate/short routes. Some of that may be coaching, maybe they aren't letting him but if that's the case, they aren't letting him because he can't do it. For a QB, that's your money, not trying to open it up on play action every pass.
With Jennings, our results against major competition will be mixed at best. He'll win some and lose some. We all know he doesn't have the ceiling Harris does. If Harris will be the guy I figure we might as well get him in there sooner than later.
Coaching needs to make an honest assessment on where his short/intermediate game is. This weekend was a wake-up call. At some point they may have to cut bait and put the guy in with a higher ceiling. Harris may make a ton of mistakes in the process but he needs the reps to get better.
And I say all of this having been a staunch pro-Jennings guy.

I'm not sure if it is this or just lack of confidence in Harris because he is a Freshman. I personally think the kid has a fantastic arm, and really liked how he handled himself under pressure in those last few minutes. I was just shaking my head going "Why"????? Why did Coach Miles not put him in the game earlier?
Nothing against Jennings, I just think Harris should be given a chance to start. I really think we would have won that game had he taken more snaps, but that's just my humble opinion.
We had better get it together or we have a long season ahead!

Just went and watched that play again........ this is why he cannot be our QB moving on.
