Going back to the Spring Game where he had moments of brilliance to the first 4 games where he's shined in limited action...I think its time.

Why??:
1. We've got a bottom feeder coming in this week.
2. He showed great poise in engineering a near comeback against State....if we would have saved that 1st timeout.....could have been a different story....even with 30 seconds more!
3. He has more pocket awareness and is certainly not afraid to run it.
4. Throws absolute lasers when he's on the field...no hesitation.
5. What have we got to lose? We need to see how he handles an entire game scenario. IF he fricks up, then we go back to AJ and ride it out.

I'm ready to see what he can do, given the reins of this offense.

What you'll get.

Jennings - won't make many mistakes, but won't be a big playmaker

Harris - Will make mistakes, but can be very dynamic.

With the way this season is looking, I'd go with Harris.

Huh? Calling the first timeout saved 30 seconds when it was called...if it had not been called then, there would have been no time left at the end.

Damnit Les you can't burn a timeout when everyone KNOWS he is about to hike the ball over the QB's head!

Jennings won't make many mistakes because he is terrified of turning the ball over. He's had it beaten into him. And by the time Harris gets his first start he will be the exact same way.

if LSU would have had 30 more seconds on the clock, they would have won the game IMO

I know, I know.....just wish we would have had that extra timeout at the end. State running the clock on their punt at the end killed us.

Harris

At one point in the third quarter I had this conversation with the guy next to me. The question needs to be asked, whether it can be fully answered yet or not, but...where is the ceiling on Jennings?

Is AJ capable of making enough throws to run a full passing game that will allow the run game space to develop? If he is, then why are we not allowing him this option? If he can't... Right now, it seems we have one pass play...a post to Dural. Miracle heaves are not a passing game.

Harris can clearly make all the throws do do this. He's newer in the system and will CERTAINLY turn it over more, based on throwing it more. Can we/should we risk those mistakes in the hopes that the benefits outweigh the risks?

I'll answer the same way I did back in 2004. I'd prefer to go with the riskier option if it means we have a better opportunity to attack a team's defense than going with the safer one and hamstringing our self out of fear.

I know I don't matter, but I'll be pissed if he doesn't get a start. We didn't just lose to State, we were getting bludgeoned all game long. It was 34-10 at home, at night, to freaking MSU! This whole team needs a coming to Jesus moment.

I like State, I think they finish 9-3, but I also think they are only 4th in the West. Alabama will frick us in the arse for 40+ points and others are highly capable of doing if as well like TAMU, Auburn and Ole Miss. Arkansas could too.

We have to lean on the pass game. We have to start Harris because he is more dynamic. We have to score points in bunches. I believe our defense can and will get better, but not enough to where we can win the game by scoring 24 points. That shite won't cut it against anybody but UF.
