It's a guilty pleasure watch but you have to really, really be able to suspended any kind of realistic expectations of the show.

Season 2 is the best season. If you don't like that season you should bail.

I don't understand.. how can any of you enjoy any television or movie if you suspend realism?
That's kind of the idea of the whole industry. What? You guys want to watch a show of the average "real" life of people? They're outlaws, anti-heroes, the cops are in their pockets. etc. etc.
I love the show, and I know quite a few people who do.
With that said.. OP, season 3 is their weakest season.

Like I said, really.
I'm alright with that though. It's not something I've held on Mad Men/GoT/Boardwalk levels. It truly is the ultimate bikers with AKs white trash guilty pleasure show.

There's a big difference in "it's a stretch" and a gun fight with fully automatic weapons where no one gets hit but a bunch of non-essential characters.
Obviously you're suspending some level of it for any kind of show/movie. SOA is pretty much the far end of the spectrum of a show that is one of those "in the life of" type deals. Like I said though, I ain't even mad at it. I enjoy the show.

Good synopsis. The Ireland season was horrible but the finale was fricking epic.

If you watch them all at once, it's sort of funny bad. Escorting semi trucks while the feds are supposed to be watching them, ect. Kind of comically bad. It's like they're not even trying to be realistic.
That said, I'll probably watch it to the end, although I haven't seen the first two of the final season yet. I hear Aaron Paul shows up as his long lost brother, so, yo, that should be entertaining.
