RESERVE, La. -
Officials in St. John Parish are investigating after a small plane crashed Sunday evening in Reserve.
St. John Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said that deputies received a call just before 5:30 p.m. that a light aircraft went down near the airport in Reserve.
Deputies were told that a pilot and one other passenger were on board. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Investigators are now working to determine what caused the plane to crash and if the aircraft was taking off or landing at the time it went down. Authorities are still on scene evaluating the plane crash site.
Further details are expected this evening. LINK
