Why can't they go back to the old way of just allowing students to use their ID's to get in instead of all of this ticket crap for students? WIth all the technology now, no sense they can't be scanned until we hit a certain number of students for the game.

that's how it should be

leave the greeks to their own games. showing up in 1st quarter and leavin at half. they dont deserve tickets.

and with scanning, they can keep track of cost and just add to fee bill.

first come, first serve....14-1, all aboard!

That was how it used to be until the mid 80's.

Georgia has the same problem. The commments in a story last year about it said that UGA made a deal with Stubhub so students suddenly couldn't transfer their tickets to each other if they couldn't go. Suddenly students wouldn't get them or couldnt' unload them if they couldn't go.

You will not like the real answers.
Student attendance to NCAAF games is in decline and they stay for ever shorter periods,.
Students spend less money at the game than other paid attendees.
ADs get paid to maximize income.
They will continually seek to fill empty seats with those who will attend and spend.
