Our d-line is to small. Look at Bama and Florida State d line and that's how you put a line together. I'm a firm believer that you have to put meat in the inside and strength and quickness on the edge. (Dorsey lavalais Logan Jackson Mingo etc) lets get back to the Bo Pelini days. The d is really overrated as a whole. Holding ULM and SHU to 0 points is what you suppose to do.
My opinion on this qb situation is AJ is running a gameplan offense that is horrible like it's been in the last 3 years compared when Harris come and the offense is wide open. Jennings can make them same throws Harris made last night but I can promise you that Harris is not ready for 4 quarters of SEC football and that's why he's not starting. Them bombs won't work against Bama Auburn and Florida. Harris will be a real good player don't get me wrong but it's not Jennings fault the offense not moving the ball.

Do all of you realize the d lineman that we have lost to the NFL the last 2 years. What part of we are young at that position that some of you don't want to hear or just don't get it. You can't lose the mass number of players we have lost on the offensive and defensive side of the ball and not feel that lost. Geez please stop already and please stop with the Miles has to go crap.

All I can say is remember the last 80's and all of the freaking 90's. Damn we are a freaking spoiled arse fan base. Yes we got our asses handed to us last night. Give this young team credit for not quitting and fighting to come back. Yeah yeah you can say that Miss State called off the horses.

Too many early NFL entries has set us back- now we have to start throwing players who appear to be too young or not fully developed to play. I am concerned about Jennings just being average as best; as a 'dual threat' he doesn't seem to have the running ability we would come to expect, and his arm has been inconsistent.

I agree its not all Jennings fault, but Jennings has struggled going through his reads, he is very hesitant. Quinn was open quite a bit last night, no one is saying Harris is the best QB of all time but its obvious he looks like the better QB right now. Harris actually goes through his reads and is not locked onto 1 WR. He has better pocket presence, just way more to bring to the table. Harris brought more offense in the last 3 drives then Jennings did ALL game. Harris will no doubt take his lumps but if we stick with Jennings and this Iform with the 1 WR route, we are seriously screwed the rest of the season, I'm not sure I want to stick around and watch it. There is no reason for any of this, talent isn't the issue, its the coaching! Teams far samller than LSU have way less talent than us, yet they make it work. Somethings got to give, if not we will lose to Auburn, Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas A&M, and shite maybe even AT florida.

He also does not have pocket awareness which is a must in playing QB. He lacks on his throws. Not wanting to throw this kid under the bus but I think it is time to give Harris a shot. We have to go with what we have seen out of Jennings so far and it appears to be the same issues over and over. I noticed a lot last night that all he had to do was move in the pocket to the left or to the right but he runs straight into the pass rush.

Have you watched them this year? They will most certainly work against them to great success. Hell, Sims was their whole offense for 2 and a half to three quarters. At one point during the first half, he was 8-10 250 yards and 2 TDs.

Driskel is just a terrible QB. He was only averaging about 6 ypa on 44 attempts per game against Kentucky and Idaho. Kentucky with a QB with two starts, threw for over 360 yards and 3 TDs, and that was in regulation, in the swamp.

K State was throwing all over Auburn and had Arkansas WRs not dropped easy long TDs, they would have hit near 300.

Same with Bama. Trickett played them like a fiddle throwing for over 360 yards and he had long TDs dropped. They could have easily lost that game, and WVU could have easily put up 500 passing yards.

Face it, pass offense has finally hit the SEC.

The reason we have a young DL is because we signed 1 player (Hunter) at the position in 2012, the players that would be in their 3rd year and draft eligible at the end of the season. The coaches didn't plan for the mass exodus we were going to experience at the position once Brockers, Logan, Mingo, Montgomery, Edwards, and others left. Poor planning and several misses on the DL caused this mess so let's not act like the coaches are without fault.

This is coming from someone who was glad to see Jennings get the start against Wisky and 90% of the meaningful snaps leading up to the Moo st. game... Jennings does not have the aptitude or touch to attack the middle of the field passing. Even when State when giving him that part of the field Jennings could not execute a play in the middle of the field.

Obviously when Harris came in, State was in a prevent mind set. Harris looked more than able to attack the middle of the field and have the touch for the receivers to make a play on the ball on the outside.

The only question with Harris now is can he execute those same plays when a defense is coming at him for blood.

About the D-Line recruiting; Im not sure what you expect with the amount of attrition of players DECLARING FOR THE NFL... for freaks sake what a dumb thought and now sorry I wasted pixels answering the OP.

Finding DTs who can come in and play significant snaps in year one are very very hard to find.

Can't lose 3 non senior d-lineman to the league each year and expect sophomores and freshman to immediately step in and be just as good. Just not going to happen. The young guys like Herron, Bain, Gilmore, and Valentine have all the strength and athleticism we could want in a DT, it's just about getting the technique down and that comes with time. How many lineman are there that can come straight from high school and be a force in the SEC?
