Saw one of these at the range yesterday.
Holy Crap! The frame was huge for a 1911. Could barely wrap my hand around the grip.

Love the caliber but that's ugly as hell.

The 1911 platform is obviously best suited for 45 ACP. It doesn't transfer well to the .357 at all.
If you want more power than a 45 in a 1911 get a 10mm.

I love the Coonan. It's def on a future to-buy list.
They actually make a compensated version that's supposed to mitigate a ton of recoil. I bet it is as loud as a jet engine.

Was the loudest thing on the pistol line yesterday... And that includes idiots wasting $$$ slinging .223 rounds 25 yards down range from slidefire-equiped AR-15's (we only allow automatic and simulated automatic firearms at the pistol line since some idiots can't keep the muzzles down and send rounds flying over our 100yd berm).
