One of the maddening things about LSU teams under Les Miles, is that they refuse to be 'bad', or they don't give up.

This is not a great team. In fact, I would say, if this team were anywhere else in the league, under a different head coach, last night would be a blow out. Wisconsin would have been a loss. The list goes on.

People forget that Ole Miss clock management debacle a few years back...we should have never been in that position. Somehow we crawled back into a game down by double-digit scores and made it close. These Les Miles teams refuse to be totally bad.

It explains why, in 15,years of college football, EVERY MAJOR PROGRAM has had not only multiple losing seasons, but absolute debacles of a season. Go down the list:

Oklahoma
USC
Texas
Ohio St.
Oregon
FSU
Alabama
Every SEC team ragging on us

For some reason, we seem to maintain some type of dignity, even when our team is 'bad' or young. 2009 came close to being a disaster. Blowout wins by UGA and Fla.

But guess what happened 2-3 years later, even without a QB?

I love LSU guys. I don't know what else to say. Yes we are fans and have unrealistic expectations for every opponent, every game. But we will be okay. Maybe a loss like this is what is needed sometimes for us to course correct..

Don't be too hard on the players, coaches, or anyone else guys.
Ten games from now, we look back at this game and smile, have a good laugh about it, and move on!

Hey man. I'm proud of this team. And so should all LSU fans. I can't stand the unrealistic fan to think we should win every game every season. They have no insight into life and I think they're high expectations are a result of their low self-esteem. And placing all their self-esteem and a football team. They can't stand any imperfection therefore.

Meh. Coaches are big boys. They deserve to be called out for their work sometimes.

Last night was a blowout. Moo St pulled starters and stopped trying to score in the 4th Q.

It was total complete domination. Not sure what you were watching. The score was not indicative of the beat down.

Really optimistic perspective. My wish is Les learns something from this and take a "the future is now" approach and play the best players regardless of experience. We are not going to compete for a championship this year, too thin and young up front. Get skilled guys ball in space, throw the saddle on Harris and see what happens.

I'm very proud of these young men and women who give their all for the LSU Fighting Tigers football program.

It's not about winning.

Yes, because past history has shone that to be the case.

If you take off the P&G glasses and objectively look at things you can see these losses coming from a mile away (granted, not an absolute arse-kicking like last night). It's why so many media-people who don't care whether LSU wins or loses were picking MSU to win. Some on here are beside themselves when others have criticisms following blowouts of the ULM's and SHS's of the world. But it's because you can still see glaring issues that are going to show up later against good teams. Les isn't changing a thing. This is what LSU does

For 3 weeks the OL and DL were bad. The play calling returned to 2009-2012 form. It just took running up against a solid SEC team for some to realize what others already could see coming
