I'm thinking about cutting the cord on cable. It would save me roughly $972 a year. With that being said does anyone have any experience with any of these DTV antennas?

Not those particular antennas but I've used two similar ones. I have an amplified Terk FDTV1A in my attic that now serves the entire house. I live in Baton Rouge about 10-12 miles from the major stations and always had to tweak the antenna when I had it attached directly to the TV. First, they aren't really omnidirectional. Second, they work best when they have minimum obstructions between the antenna and the signal, i.e., in a window or in the attic clear of the mechanical equipment. They're strictly for local stations; if you're more than 20 miles away look at getting a regular antenna array like the RCA Ant. If you have stations in both the UHF and VHF bands be sure you get an antenna that can handle both.

Mohu has a very good rep - I use an attic-mounted Mohu Sky & it is excellent. My primary locals are from 25 to 40 miles in opposite directions.

Yeah attic mounted or external antennas are great. I move cities way too often to have one of those setups though. For example my current house doesn't even have an attic. I'm leaving my current location in April and who knows what I'll have then.

Leaf 50 is supposed to have good signals for it's type. Depending on the "decor situation", the Sky is a very small, plastic, X-shape & there are lots of folks use it inside as well.
