I currently shoot a Canon 60d. I usually shoot kids sports and some indoor low-light stuff. I have a Sigma 70-200 2.8, Canon 24-105 f/4L, and Canon 50mm f/1.8.
I am wanting to upgrade my camera body and can't decide between the soon-to-be-released 7DMarkii or the 5dmarkiii.

The price for the 5D is about $600 higher. Thanks

Comparison

5D is full frame, thats about the biggest difference IMO

My 60D shoots about 6fps, similar to the 5D, but the new 7D shoots 10fps. I'm wondering how many "professionals" shoot sports with that 5D.

As a 6 year Nikon user, I can say that I wish I had a 5D.

I really want to keep my 60d as a backup, sell my Sigma 70-200 2.8 and get the Canon 70-200 2.8is L II. The lens costs a fortune, but it's supposed to be the best.

I have the Nikon version of that Sigma. It is a beast. It is effectively a 105-350mm on my D7000, which has a crop factor of 1.5x

It is 90-95% of the lens that the comparable Nikon or Canon equivalent are.

The question you have to ask yourself is whether or not that extra 5-10% is worth the extra $800-1000. For me, the answer has always been no, because I don't get paid for my photography.

The loss of range with my crop body 60d to a full frame 5D is a concern. I don't really want to start needing 300mm and 400mm lenses.
