Android Help - Alarm Clock when phone is on Vibrate

The alarm doesn't go off when the phone is on vibrate. Is there a setting to make the alarm volume always on loud, or do I need to get a different app?

I don't use the stock alarm clock, but mine has never done this. Alarm has a separate volume setting from your ringer/notifications. If you go into Settings>Sounds>Volumes, you can check your settings.

I know they have separate volume settings, but they seem to be linked

What kind of Android. All of them use a different alarm app depending on the manufacturer.
Typically, there's a setting in the alarm app itself that allows you to set it to "ring even when phone is silent".
On my LG G3, it allows me to set the volume of the alarm(with a slider bar) that it will ring every time, regardless if phone is on silent or vibrate.
