Has there ever in the history of mankind been a heavier band than Electric Wizard? Crushing, stony riff after riff that pulverize your Otolaryngology system from the inside out. Captivating audiences for 20+ years while sodomizing their own minds with unfathomable levels of THC....Formed from the remains of all that is and ever would be Metal. Merging sludge, stoner, space, acid, doom and horror metal into one super genre for generations of degenerates to generate their own generic madness

EW is heavy, just people have different kinds of heavy they go by.

This is more low end than heavy.

The new YOB album is beautifully heavy.

Give you a song? You like heavy music and aren't familiar with CC?

I never really got into CC. Too mainstream to fux with, always sounded like a lame LoG rip-off.

They've been around since 1988, if anything Lamb of god ripped them off And they were never mainstream, once again if anything was mainstream, it came to them.

Fair enough. I've never educated myself on CC, they've always been compartmentalized. Wizard have a whole different feel with lyrics I could understand without having to look at a transcription, that and the blues flavor they mix in occasionally put them legions ahead of everyone else for me.

I'm also a big fan of Norwegian black metal and Swedish death metal. Heavy music and lyrical content. Plus the whole..."imagery"..of course. Was more of a fan from it in the 90s.

shite got real in mayhem.

Meshuggah is the band that comes to mind when I think "heaviest band in the universe".

See for yourself,

I mean I guess Isis was heavy. I never viewed them as such.

My all time favorite band of the metal genre.
