I can do this because my own name sounds awkward enough. (It works well, but it's completely confusing in terms of lineage. And it's unique but not cool, anyways, I digress.)

Who's got a coolest name in Hollywood?

Certainly Chazz Palminteri is up there. That's just an awesome name. Slightly better than Calogero Palminteri. Sylvester Stallone.

Werner Herzog is an awesome name as well. And Akira Kurosawa. Directors often have decent names.

It's funny how James Stewart, Will Smith, Tom Hanks all kind of reflect their appeal. Very neutral, mass appeal. Throw Tom Cruise in there as well. But those aren't cool names.

Or worst? Richard Dreyfuss, while a fine actor, is a terrible name. David Goyer...sounds like a disease (and kind of is one for DC, I KID!) I always thought one weakness of Steven Seagal was his name. Chuck Norris, Sly, Arnold all sound way cooler.

Random topic is random, I know.

Benedict Cumberbatch is the all time greatest. (It would even work as a porn name)

Worst has to be Imogen Poots

Not too terrible. A Zimbalist sounds like some sort of acrobatic circus performer.

A lot of action actors have sweet names. Besides the one's you've mentioned:

Jean-Claude Van Damme
Dolph Lundgren
Terry Crews
Vin Diesel

And I've always like the sound of Steve McQueen's name. Probably because when I was a kid my brother would constantly play his old Cheech and Chong album with the skit Pedro and Man at the Drive-Inn.

"Hey man! You drive like Steve McQueen"!!!

I now have to go home and watch A Bronx Tale again. I don't hate Calogero though lol

I have to add the badass Idris Elba to this list.

you mean Rutherford B Hayes?

Is the new Hollywood trend is to keep your real name and not create a new one?

Ie What's his face from 12 years a slave

Probably, but even Imogen Poots can look or sound ok, William Mapother on the other hand....changing that makes sense in any scenario.
