Agree with his policies or not at least the "old boss" had the nuts to call it what it is and give the boys what they need to do the job instead of pandering to a minority of voters.

It sucks so bad having a nutless prez. Make a decision Barry and then tell everyone to FO. Learn HOW TO LEAD for crying out loud.

agreed. Obama's been as hawkish as Bush in many ways so I wish he'd just be upfront about it and save us all the subterfuge.

I love it when you hacks take quotes out of context to buttress your preconceived delusional beliefs.

Let's revisit:

You post this:

quote:

General Dempsey acknowledged that this would run counter to the president’s policy, but he said, “He has told me as well to come back to him on a case-by-case basis.”

Which makes it appear that Obama takes sending troops lightly. He may or he may not on a whim right?

Let's look what the General actually said:

quote:

“My view at this point is that this coalition is the appropriate way forward. I believe that will prove true,” General Dempsey said. “But if it fails to be true, and if there are threats to the United States, then I, of course, would go back to the president and make a recommendation that may include the use of U.S. military ground forces.”

General Dempsey acknowledged that this would run counter to the president’s policy, but he said, “He has told me as well to come back to him on a case-by-case basis.”

So IF the current policy isn't working and IF there are threats to the US and IF the general makes the recommendations, THEN Obama would decide on a case by case basis.

Thanks, Hack.

A case by case basis theory worked so well in Benghazi didn't it.

Put the people to do the job and then tell everyone to STFU.

I kind of think it's funny that he accepted it and then commenced droning like a MFer.

The Nobel committee are a bunch of blowhards anyhow - serves them right.

Aren't we being told by the government that is the reason we are there right now because of them being a threat to the U.S.?
