No team is going to be willing to take the heat. Probably will have to wait one or two years when it cools down a little bit

I'd grab him in a heartbeat. This is football, not some morality bible camp despite how much it is becoming one

Do you think the Vikings will get him to replace AP?

Even if granted his appeal, he will not play a down this season

Well it's a business first and then football.

While I wish all this off the field crap didn't affect the game, it will.

I said he would be getting NFL carries carries next year and I stand by that. People on this very board said no way.

I disagree with this completely. I wouldn't be surprised to see his suspension lifted at any moment. He suspended for 2 games. I don't think the CBA allows the nfl to add to that suspension. It is not Rice's fault that Goodell didn't see the tape or take public outcry into account before handing down the original punishment.
I think most like that Goodell will talk to Rice privately and tell him it is in everybody's best interest if he sits quietly for about 6 or 8 weeks and then Goodell lifts the suspension.

He was terrible last year, and shows all the signs of falling off the cliff.

If he did tell the truth Goodell originally, then there's no reason he shouldn't win his appeal. However, I can't see him being signed this season, but I'd be surprised if he isn't signed next offseason.

Taking this year off might be great for his body.

This.

And I wouldn't be shocked if his agent is making this up.

He'll be a starting RB next year

Rice looks like a saint compared to AP

Anyone else see the beauty of several teams trying to beat each other to get to Ray Rice?
