Not even in the same conversation based on what the team was looking for. Salmons is Willie Green 2.0. He played with Monty in Philly too and he'll be able to step in immediately and do what coach wants. His corner 3 also makes him a good fit. The only people that we ever hear talking up Ingles are Aussie Pelicans fans. On a recent podcast Fran Fraschilla, who covered FIBA for ESPN and runs international basketball camps, referred to Ingles, who he's coached in his camps, as a run of the mill international SF.

I'm not saying he can't play in the NBA, just that if you go after a guy like Ingles it's to replace Miller/Babbit, not Salmons.
