couldn't name a good ST under Payton. Greg McMahon is a cockaroach, always finding a way to survive after years of BELOW average units.

i dont think we've ever been below average on special teams.
maybe on KO returns.
Everything else I think has been average at the least. Usually have good coverage units and have been good on punt returns. I remember Reggie Bush being a legit threat as a PR, and Darren Sproles setting the all purpose yardage record in 2011.

2012 we were awful. We had a fire the ST coach thread every week
Also kickoff returns are way below average and we can't find a consistent FG kicker. Some kickers just have IT. you know when they go out there, it's money whether at 50 yards or 35. Anytime we lineup for a game winning shot or a longer kick, I'm holding my breath. morestead is our only saving grace.

roby was good in 2009. He had a return for TD in a tight game vs. the Rams and a good return in the Dolphins game.
then he had one against the Vikings to start the 2nd half.
