You can see the media bias in this one, he handles them, though.

Literally it opens with the same wording

"how you've changed your views"

from WaPo.

He had to get that Israel question in there.

Ah yes.... it's the media's fault.

Did he not change his view on the border fence? What about financial aid to Israel? Medicare restructuring? Did he not just say had he been President Obama, he would have acted more decisively against ISIL (having previously promoted a more isolationist stance). If Hillary Clinton change her position on anything wouldn't you deem her a flip-flopper?

I know you think if the GOP would just run a "true conservative" you'd win. But you're wrong. And Rand Paul knows it. That's why he's trying to broaden his appeal....so he can win. The ideologically pure republican candidate only exists in your mind.

No one is implying that Rand has not "evolved" on certain issues. The point being the media seldom shines the light on liberals when they change their stance.

I agree with you about Paul trying to broaden his appeal, which is why goes to places like Berkeley, Howard and the National Urban League. However, the reason why he's triangulating and backtracking on foreign policy issues, has nothing to do with broadening his appeal, and everything to do with appeasing Evangelical Christians and billionaires like Sheldon Adelson, who are needed to secure the GOP nomination.

But that's also broadening his appeal....to the more establishment (not libertarian) wing of the GOP.

At first, I was attracted to Paul's non-interventionism, but now with ISIS and other uppity muslims, I want someone like Walker or Christie, who both would be willing to frick up the near east.

I don't think that will work. The Pauls have already shown their stripes when it comes to Israel. I expect that AIPAC will do everything it can to keep Paul from winning the nomination.

AIPAC opposed Paul's Stand With Israel Act.

Majority of country agrees with Paul's Foreign Policy stance.

Man CBS this morning seems like a joyless shitfest. The old fart barking at people to get off his lawn, the white lady who I don't think has smiled once in her life and the last one who I assume must be mad at her wig maker (for good reason) and is taking it out on everyone else. They all seem really angry first thing in the morning. They need Carson daily or Tim tebow to lighten the mood a touch.

So you want the U.S. to be useful idiots for Arabs and Muslims? For the life of me, I can't understand why any American would want the U.S. risk the lives of our sons and daughters to do dirty work for Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Turkey.

He is the #1 target of the media, democrats, and most republicans and they're only going to rev up their campaign against him in the future.

McCain Gaffes Going After Rand Paul: ‘Has He Met With ISIS?’

Jamie Weinstein
11:10 PM 09/15/2014

John McCain’s slip of the tongue won’t help him quell Internet accusations that he once met and took pictures with members of the terrorist group the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Appearing on Fox News’ “Hannity” Monday night, the Arizona Republican senator went off on Rand Paul after host Sean Hannity brought up the Kentucky Republican senator’s concern that providing weapons to Syrian rebels will only end up benefiting ISIS.

“Has Rand Paul ever been to Syria? Has he ever met with ISIS?” McCain fumed, certainly meaning to say the Free Syrian Army instead of ISIS.

McCain has long advocated giving weapons to what he considers the moderate opposition trying to overthrow the dictatorial regime of Bashar al-Assad. Critics of such a policy, including Paul, warn that there are no real true moderates of any strength fighting Syria’s brutal strongman.

Back in March 2013, McCain actually snuck into Syria to meet with some of the Syrian rebel opposition. Since that trip, McCain’s political enemies have accused the 2008 Republican presidential nominee of not only meeting and taking pictures with the so-called moderate opposition, but also members of ISIS. McCain says he did nothing of the sort and no real evidence has ever been provided to show that any of the men McCain took pictures with were ever affiliated with ISIS.

But his slip up Monday night on “Hannity” won’t help him put those Internet accusations to rest.

That old dinosaur still hasn't learned what happens when you overthrow a dictator in the Mideast. It makes the situation worse.

Cenk Uygur Would ‘Lay Money on Rand Paul Being the Next President’

The Young Turks’ Cenk Uygur rarely has kind words for Republicans, but on Monday he said he would be willing to bet money that Rand Paul would beat Hillary Clinton and win the presidency in 2016.

Uygur credited Paul as a “voice of reason” on fighting ISIS, in contrast to Clinton’s hawkishness. He agreed that “our invasion of Iraq in the first place and all of the other bombings we’ve done in the Middle East… has in fact led to the rise of ISIS.”

And if it’s a choice between Paul saying that and Clinton’s foreign policy in two years, well, Uygur thinks the answer’s obvious:

Each time McCain opens his mouth, the more convinced I am that the 2008 election was the worst in my lifetime when it comes to the two major party candidates. My God. Obama's a brutal president but I'm not sure McCain would have been any better. At least Romney had a solid economic record to run on.

With McCain, we would be in 7-8 different wars right now. Obama was definitely the lesser evil on this issue.
