Plain and simple, football should be about football. Everything these days is a PR move to either cover their asses or get praise by the media. Between referee calls, Saints being 0-2, rule changes, 95% passing offenses, Goodell being a douchebag and all this AP stuff the game is being ruined. I mean hell, we have some of the most elite athletes in the world who are spending their time arguing on Twitter.

As far as the AP, switching kids is one of the oldest parental forms of punishment, especially in the south. The only thing I agree with was the Ray Rice decision because let's face it, you can't smack a bitch that hard. I'm glad to see the Vikings are being completes bitches and trying to remove AP from the NFL.

I miss pro football.

Like I said in another thread, I hardly watch anymore.

The games are boring. And also, they don't really mean anything.

Oh, you lost a heartbreaker at the last second? It's cool. You've got 14 more games.

This shite couldn't have gone in any of the other 87 bitch threads, it definitely needed its own thread.

The last thing this bitch thread needed was someone defending their bitching thread against some bitch bitching about this bitch thread.

I still can't believe the NFL capitulated on the concussion issue and essentially ruined its product permanently. Let's face it, the NFL is now the Arena Football League in bigger markets and stadiums. It won't happen overnight, but the viewership will gradually erode over the years as the NFL continues to try to eradicate one of the chief attractions of the sport - physical violence.

These threads are trying their hardest to discourage me from watching MNF...just when the Eagles are playing.

I tune in casually to the two teams I care for and otherwise only pay attention because of fantasy/gambling reasons.

It seems like they're trying their best to destroy the product and I'm not sure why.

The early to mid 2000s was the heyday for this generation at least. Brady vs Manning, Pats vs Colts, there weren't five flags every damn play, no shitty NBC coverage

I kind of miss the days before modern day free agency, when guys would stay with a tram for a while.

Now, everyone is a mercenary. Teams aren't loyal to players and players aren't loyal to teams. It's all about contracts and cap space. Just makes everything seem kind of pointless.

ETA: but yeah, to the point of the thread, the NFL has been painful to follow for months now. Manziel, drunk-arse Josh Gordon, Ray Rice, AP, Godell in the middle f'ing everything up. Sometimes you forget that football is actually being played.

. This is where I am. Up until 2011 or so, I watched Football from noon on Saturday until 6 or so on Sunday. Now if it isn't LSU or the Saints, IDGAF. I'll mow my lawn or take a walk instead. Could just mean I'm old.

Please don't open an AP thread, then.

I follow football erryday and I've been able to avoid the brunt of it. Not watching ESPN will help.

If it wasn't for fantasy football nfl isn't that excited. College football is so much more exciting. Taigating, the game and atmosphere.

Fantasy got me more interested in NFL but isn't what drives me to watch a shitload of games. NFL Game Rewind takes the bullshite out and let's me watch a lot of games throughout the week.
