Read on their site that it will still be available on playstation, iOS, etc.

They are apparently going to announce some stuff about it in the next couple weeks. Cloud stuff seems obvious.

Gaming is the top activity across devices and we see great potential to continue to grow the Minecraft community and nurture the franchise. That is why we plan to continue to make Minecraft available across platforms – including iOS, Android and PlayStation, in addition to Xbox and PC.

Our investments in cloud, Xbox Live and mobile technology will enable players to benefit from richer and faster worlds, more powerful development tools, and more opportunities to connect with the Minecraft community.

We’ll look to create even more ways for the vibrant community of YouTuber’s, innovators, bloggers and players to connect with each other – both in person and online. We will have much more to share in the coming months.

Im worried ill have to pay for newer versions or if they will release each new update as DLC.

I bought the game back in Alpha when Mojang said if you buy now any future release will be free.

I'm very concerned about the future.

Microsoft has invested heavily in minecraft and they will want some sort of return. How they go about getting that will be interesting to see.

I'm sure they will start by putting texture packs for sale.

I wonder if this also means Microsoft gets all merchandise revenue because that shite is huge for minecraft right now.

Has to be included. I don't see how they recoup $2.5-billion without it.

Same here. I still had to pay the $20 for the XBox version... Still worth it. I've had more fun with this game over the years than the $40 I've spent total. Like way more.

Minecraft is a juggernaut, I always dismissed it until both my 4 and 5 year old daughters started watching videos, then I got them the iPad version.

I played creative mode years back and was like meh.

I just bought the ps4 version and I got destiny on release date, I've probably doubled my play time in minecraft playing survival SINCE destiny launched than I play destiny, and I really love destiny.

Do not underestimate the staying power, youthful audience, and marketability of this game, it grabbed me 5 years later.

It's this generations Legos, it will be timeless.

I'm a bit sad he sold it tbh, bc he is the main reason it has flourished, and he has also said he would never sell out bc the community would suffer.

But shite $2.5 billy? Can't blame the dude, microsoft wasn't fricking around.

I am scared for the modding side since that is what I mainly play with on my server. There was a big deal about cease and desist orders going out on all the modding server files right before this deal went down.

If you haven't played the PC version modded out, you are really missing out on a lot of cool shite.
