Expected this to be some homer shite, got a really insightful analysis. Good find.

I think he's backwards about the front seven and too bearish about their DL. Our front seven will play better vs the spread option game and their DL will give us more trouble than he gives his team credit for.

This will be a solid test but I think we come out on top. Tigers by 10-14.

I agree with most everything he said except that

Also he overrated our OL some, but so did all of us preseason

The LSU OL is really good. They return a bunch of experience and these guys can maul. They've given up 6 sacks already but that's more on the QB holding it like I mentioned earlier. They're leading the rushing attack to a 4.32 ypc average that is respectable but isn't crazy high. Again, that's more due to the lack of the elite RB as I mentioned earlier.

quote:

Despite all the hoopla over Leonard Fournette, Kenn Hilliard is the starter and looks the best by far. Terrance Magee is also getting carries as a banger. FB Darrell Williams is getting a lot of carries, particularly in short yardage and he is a load. Fournette looks good and will get better as the year goes on but he isn't elite yet.

I think he has the two mixed up but that is my opinion otherwise pretty good.

So they think they are going to beat LSU by 7-10pts?

Wow! Do they know it's in Tiger Stadium this year? At night?

Vegas Line has LSU by 9.5 right now

We don't lose at night Jack!

I think MSU is much improved and it will be a nice game, but LSU will pull away...Tigers 35-20

It's definitely a refreshing read compared to the shite show on the rant. I thought this from another poster was funny:
quote:

We have always had comparable 1 deep talent with LSU, except QB and WR

They don't realize that our defense covers like a blanket? NFL talent everywhere... Dak is going to have to be superman

When I see true freshman like Jamal Adams jog off the field, you see a typical football player at LSU which has NFL written all over him.

We those guys all over the field 3 or 4 deep

Very exciting

Knowledge or emotion?

I was disappointed with LSU last night as well on offense. I expected more but it was obvious the coaches wanted to win without injury and much dazzle to coast to a win and move on to next week.

With Cameron as our OC I will trust the outcome.

I think MSU fans will eat the words "not elite RB's" after the game.

Frankly, MSU fans predicting a 7-10 point win over our Tigers in Tiger Stadium, it kind of ticks me off.

If our O-line plays like they've played the last 3 games we could very easily lose this game. For the first time since I've been alive the best defensive lineman on the field will be playing for State. Dak Prescott and Josh Robinson are both absolute beasts and from Louisiana so they will be hyped. If we miss tackles and have subpar LB play like we have been, they will run all over us. I still think we edge them out being at home at night, but we will have to play even better than we did in the 2nd half against Wisky.

This is spot on and looks to be happening more with each game. Jennings had a TD with two receivers on one play in the ULM game that he tucked way too eRly.

quote:

A:One thing I've seen from him is that when he gets quick pressure, he tucks the ball in his chest (protecting it) and stops looking down field. That's his tendency and why he hasn't thrown a bad INT this year. That's better than throwing it up for grabs and you can tell he's been coached to be very careful throwing the ball. I think MSU should dial up the pressure and disrupt the down field passing. He may not throw any picks but he can be disrupted to where you can get off the field.
