D. Williams really runs hard, I think he has a great future ahead of him. He really runs hard and has good vision. He seems to run with determination and wants to score every time his number is called. Hats off to D Williams.

pretty awesome that we have 2 senior backs like we do and 2 true freshman backs...really is a perfect year in the backfield.

Since Fall Camp, I have allowed my beard to grow. I told my gf that I will shave once LF gets 5 touchdowns. Last night, she looked at me and said, "Can you switch to that Williams guy because your #7 only has two in three games?"

LF has been ok, but certainly not great. I think Williams has shown that he deserves a few more carries from the tailback spot

Considering the blocking they are getting both Freshman RBs look good.

I'm more impressed with Williams than Fournette at this point as a runner. Fournette has impressed me with his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield though. Williams just runs harder plain and simple. Fournette looks slow and timid to me. He may be just waiting for the line to open up holes but you can't do that every time in college. You have to hit the line with speed and make a split second decision/cut to gain yards. I'm sure he'll figure it out but right now Williams is the better back.
On another note, remember "Freak"? I'm not saying Fournette will be like that but some of these kids just grow/mature faster in high school than others making them look tremendous. Fournette was a grown man playing against kids in high school. Now he's a grown man playing against other grown men.

WOW! I hate our fans sometimes. LF is averaging 5.2 yards per carry, 17.3 yards per catch, 25.6 per return and somehow he is a failure? That is the view of someone wanting him to be a failure. Williams being great is not mutually exclusive to Fournette being great. LF averages more per carry and more per catch, yet Williams is better? LF is slow? Biased any?

RUSHING GP Att Gain Loss Net Avg TD Long Avg/G
Leonard Fournette 3 31 167 5 162 5.2 2 40 54.0
Darrel Williams 2 21 103 1 102 4.9 3 22 51.0

Fournette has been impressive with very limited carries (has not even sniffed 20 carries yet). Williams has looked great also. Williams and Hilliard have benefited from carrying the ball at the FB position, while all the attention was on Fournette in the backfield. The last two games Fournette has averaged about 6 yards a carry which is outstanding. When he gets the ball 18-25 times people will see some great things. Looks more comfortable finding the lanes on the toss to the outside as well. Williams looks great and will be a stud, but has far less of the defense attention than. Fournette does, and Leonard is still getting it done. Both will be very good. ULM has a pretty disciplined defense also.

The day after games on here always leaves me wondering what fricking games some of y'all are watching. I have no idea on which planet Williams has been significantly more impressive than Fournette.

Apparently, Williams' style of play is more suited for Les Miles 1970's style of football. If LF was playing in a real offense, he'd look a lot better.

Not to mention the defense keys in on LF while D.Will takes it to the house with the fullback dive. People and dumb fans don't realize that LF is a weapon without the ball too. I'm sure CC has a play stashed where LF is tailback. DWill is fullback... Either one can motion. Split right or left and you can identify mismatches and shite.
