8 SEC games
1 in-state patsy
1 OOS patsy
1 mid- major type from major conf
1 major team home & home (ex. OU, PSU, FSU, USC)

Would this work? Would give us 15 home games every two seasons.

Maybe. I would say schedule 10 SEC games since there is a playoff there is no need to schedule too many patsies and legitimate big 5 conference teams.

10 SEC and 1 in-state patsy and 1 non-big 5 patsy. Gives LSU 7 home games a year.

What I'd like to see:

9 SEC games
1 in-state patsy
1 FBS non-Power 5 patsy
1 home-and-home with Power 5 team (home when we have 4 SEC home games, away when we have 5)

7 home games a year, quality non-conference games in Tiger Stadium, play SEC East teams more often. Seems like a win-win.
