I saw him on campus passing our tailgate Saturday before the game. He was way bigger than I had imagined him being, even though his measurables are posted. I gave him the generic "Geaux Tigers", which he laughed and gave me the same in return. I do want this guy. Our backfield would be nasty if we keep all our current commits.

Good to see that the problems he had with Coach Weiner were just a hiccup and not a sign of an attitude problem.

If it's anything like Lacy's then it is a work of art. As much as I hate that team, watching Lacy run was always a pleasure.

Yet Catholic DOESN'T run the spin offense anymore.
All that other stuff, the lies, etc are in the past. You're right on some of things about Weiner, but Reopening old wounds does Derrious no good AT ALL.

And your not going to make a 5'11 running back a 5 star recruit. There are 5'11 running backs that can run 4.4 EVERY year. What is special about Leonard Fournette is that he is a solid 6'1. He weighs 225+. And could run a 4.4. He also had crazy stats from the time he was a freshman. Derrius will be a dog at LSU. He is a dog. But he isn't a 5 star

What rankings? Be a little more specific. And it makes perfect sense. Everything in there is part of what is evaluated when a recruit is given a 5 star, 4 star, 3 star... You have no clue what you're even talking about. He isn't 5 star material. He is a dog but isn't a 5 star

Dale wiener has been the head coach for 26 years. He has been running the spin for 15 years. Do you really think just because he doesn't call the plays anymore that he isn't in the OC's ear ? He is the HC!! Why do you think he hired an OC who has previously coaches under him?!? Last year they didn't install the spin until district. Whys that? Because as soon as wiener got nervous he resorted to his spin offense. He always does. I played for him for Christ sake!! I've been watching him do this for 10 years!! He ran the spin when he had the best Quarterback to ever come through CHS in Zack Oliver. 2 years ago he had one of the best back fields in the state and ran the spin. By the end of the season you will see.. They will be running some spin.

Bro, I know you're just a little 18 year old that has no idea about anything, but obviously you're fricking stupid. Zack Oliver =/= Major Applewhite

You're also saying that Guice is the best running back to ever come through...maybe, but there is a guy named Warrick Dunn who was pretty good, also this guy named Travis Minor...

Get your panties out your snatch, just cuz you played with the guy doesn't mean you know him well. There are guys I played with I wasn't close to. Whatever beef you have just let it go...

PS: Recruiting analysts give zero fricks about height for a RB as long as he's not a dwarf. You asked what made Guice special because there are tons of guys who are smaller than 5'11 and run a 4.4. Well, Guice has speed and can run over people. He also has elite vision, and has exceptional hands. He's a prototypical every down back for a major college program. That's what makes him elite and why he should be a 5-star

ETA: D'haquille Williams was a 5-star and had tons of off field issues. In fact, many 5-stars in the past have had issues. Once again, that's not correct. He simply did not get the exposure over the summer from camps

D'haquille Williams didn't go anywhere out of high school because he didn't have the grades. That is why when it came to signing day, Jarvis and Odell knew where they were headed. D'haquille couldn't get into those schools which is why he went JUCO. You have no clue what your talking about. It Leonard Fournette wasn't 6'1-6'2 he wouldn't have been a 5 star. Scouts definitely look at a RB's height. Which is why Khalil Thomas didn't get big offers because he is 5'9. Yes Warrick Dunn and Travis Minor had better careers than Derrius has had thus far, but Derrius has a brighter future then those two. Warrick Dunn was a dog. Not taking anything away from him and he is a hall of game running back, but DERRIUS is a completely different player from him or Travis Minor. Zack Oliver had a better arm than Major Applewhite. No question about it. Applewhite is given way too much credit for how good he was because he is the OC for Texas. I have no beef with DERRIUS. He's one of my damn good friends. But the arguments that others were making about him weren't accurate. I want Derrius to be a 5 star. But I just gave 100% accurate facts on why he isn't and some of the things that are hurting him. He isn't an every down back for any college program. Sure he could go to the Big 10 or Big East and be an every down back, but in the SEC and especially at LSU, which is where he will be playing next year, you can't play 1 running back and get away with it. The defenses are too good and will punish the backs. Derrius doesn't run a 4.4. He ran a 4.32 and a 4.35 at LSU camp this summer. Derrius is elite and a damn good RB. But if he deserves to be a 5 star then tell me why he isn't? There has to be a reason he isn't a 5 star. Your a fricking idiot man. You have no fricking clue what you are saying. Get some facts and come back and see me
