He's from Patterson, good try though. Go back to the Rant.

He probably made a bet with someone that you would start a thread about it

stacked or not, I do believe that "all Daylong" would be a good addition.

I agree, I just think if we lose out on a WR this class, it won't hurt as bad considering the young guys we have already.

It NEVER hurts us to lose a wr who can run and is athletic. They grow on trees here. I hope he comes, but know the next guy who loves LSU will be better.

I hear people say that all the time and I highly disagree. Jarvis and Odell are WRs who can run and are athletic. Where would we have been without them?

I know athletes grow on trees around these parts but you have to be able to distinguish the Odells and Jarvises from the twenty other 6'0 185 lb fast kids in the state.

Is Charlot an Odell or Jarvis? Who knows. But it looks like our staff is staying on him pretty hard.

People didn't say that about Jarvis and Odell, they said it about brad Sylve.

Plenty of people wanted Brad Sylve, including LSU for a time. And when we offered Odell early in his process he was just another one of those 6'0" 180lb Louisiana athletes. He did rise quickly as the process went on.

Obviously losing Charlot is not catastrophic by any means but it is pretty evident our coaches want him at LSU. Sometimes we'll let players go without putting up any resistance, like Tim Williams, Sylve, and Hootie, and sometimes we continue to recruit them like we are Charlot. It's the guys in the latter category I worry more about losing.

Noil is good, we are fine without him, right? Maybe the Odells and Jarvises were great because they were at LSU with a great qb....would they have had the same success elsewhere? WHo knows? What I do know is that they LOVED LSU and wanted to be here, period.

Charlot wants in, great, if not, so what....we have a few special ones on the team now and a few of them are true freshmen. And more studs coming....so although at times it hurts to lose wr's like him, this time is not anywhere near one of those times...

Again, I hope he comes IF he is the best on the board at that spot.

Sure we're fine without him, but we very well might be better with him.

Mostly I'm playing devil's advocate here, but while I do want the kids who are 100% all lsu playing here first and foremost and I think those are the guys you build a team around, I also want the guys the coaches target. If it takes battling it out to flip them from another team, so be it.

I talked to him after the game. Nice kid, Congratulated him on an impressive performance. I also told him he should stay home and shouldn't go to Bama. He smiled and said, "Yes sir." I don't think he was trolling LSU with the cleats. EA and St Amant both got new fields this year, but they didn't plant the grass until July, for some asinine reason and the fields are not completely grown in. He may have been wearing these shoes for better traction, I don't know.
I think we still have a shot.

That's not telling me anything without knowing what type of qb he has.
