Watched the video - The technology EA uses to accurately portray the player's faces, body styles, and their movements is incredible. So cool. Best sports video game franchise out there IMO.

On a drunken night in college I apparently liked 77 or so different FIFA 11 pages on Facebook. Woke up to see I liked "FIFA '11 and 76 other pages". All were variations of FIFA 11. So I guess that's probably my number 1 as well.

Not impressed. Maybe it's different on the Xbox1 but Just feels too much like 14. Didn't even have Balo on pool.

I completely disagree. I played around 900 online matches of FIFA 14 on PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It plays fundamentally different. Defending and battles on the ball are completely different. FIFA 14 was all about getting the ball up the wings quickly and slinging in crosses non-stop for a majority of the players. With the improvement of the keepers and better defensive AI, build up play and finding players making good runs seem to be the major "theme" of this FIFA. It even got a decent boost graphically, and that field deterioration is pretty badass.

The game comes out on the 23rd, they do roster updates. Not for the demo though.

They amped up the "Do not sprint and shoot" feature big time.

EA has consistently failed horribly at their attempts to stop speed

instead of focusing on realistic things (like dribbling), they focus on making the game retarded with lightspeed CBs and no touch for ANYbody

last year it was impossible to play counter with the insane touch physics and crosses were unstoppable (esp off corners). your defenders would LITERALLY just get "stuck" and the offensive player would have a free shot

fifa 14 was dogshit horrible and unless EA reverse engineers the physics/gameplay, fifa 15 will just build on that dogshit

they said the exact same thing about Fifa 14

they've been trying to simulate "buildup play" and "possession" since Fifa 12 (who remembers the shitty CPU teams playing like barca that year?). while Fifa 13 had anti-crosses, fifa 14 had super crosses. and with the lack of touch, proper counter-attacks are not possible

fifa still hasn't fixed the longball issues, either. this leads to offenses online that would make the old english crowd insanely happy (oh you're pushing up players to posses? i'll just have my shitty unskilled CB boot a perfectly-placed clear out downfield that hits my striker against only 3 defenders)

have they finally brought back the offensive shielding move? they took that out in 12 iirc (may have been 13) and it's fricked up offense since. you could "shield" in 14 but you just get run over by defenders

also the skill moves became super powered (esp for non-skilled superstars) and EA responded by including the gimmick cheat defensive shading. this is basically a cheat mode for people who can't defend on their own. fricking idiotic crutch that is an attempt to fix a frickup by adding in another glitchy frickup

Fifa is just a mess. it needs to be completely deconstructed and rebuilt

well there you have it

they are not going to invest heavily in the game engine and production on ps3/xbox 360

those games are so far behind the curve

they "invested" enough to make Fifa 14 a complete abortion

and from what i read, they just adapted the new engine for the nex-gen systems like they did when they fricked up football games for xbox/ps3

its like night and day man

you can't really give a legit break down until you play on next gen with fifa giving its best food forward.

This.

From what the demo has shown, FIFA 15 plays completely different than FIFA 14. A lot of the complaints I read here seem to be fixed, such as offensive shielding and terrible touch. I play a LOT of FIFA, and there has rarely ever been a FIFA game where I notice my small touches having the effect I want them to. As for the long ball issue, I don't have a problem with it. You can easily defend it. It's just a playstyle that shitty players use to move the ball around.

I think the game is much more difficult. Chelsea is absolutely ridiculous.

Haven't bought one since '11 but think I'll be getting this year's regardless. Sounding like I might need to upgrade to a PS4 though
