I've been wearing glasses and contacts for 22 years and am finally ready for LASIK. Who's the best surgeon in Baton Rouge/New Orleans?

Everybody will say Woo. I used Haight. 10 years ago went from -4.75 to 20/15.

How old are you and how bad is your vision? Might want to wait until they finish deteriorating. I paid 6k total but the new technology had just come out. I think you can get it for half that.

I had Lasik about three years ago but it was a doctor in Biloxi. Best money I ever spent. Don't look for the doctor with the cheapest price, look for the best doctor you can find.

As someone who paid a princely sum for his Lasik, I definitely agree. You can cut pennies on a lot of things, but your sight should not be one of them.

Agreed. Go to one with the latest and best machine.
For example, Custom (wavefrount) Lasik or PRK is a must. Machine they used on my custom PRK was VISX star s4 excimer laser. I had PRK done 8 weeks ago. PRK recovery is very slow but my vision was near perfect with zero side effect after about 5 weeks. They're still recovering according to my doctor. Best money I ever spent.
