Some people think this is racist. It's not. And it's stupid to think that a university would intentionally organize a racist event.
It's likely a situation where the university failed to recognize the potential word association between anything cotton and the word black.
Apparently TT does blackouts a lot so it's kind of a whole lot of manufactured hand wringing.
