ASU removes cross decals from helmets honoring two recently deceased players after complaints
Some people are just miserable fricking human beings. Obviously the players didn't mind wearing them because they were the ones who suggested it.

One e-mail sent to the University: "While watching the Tennessee game, I noticed that the ASU helmets are adorned with a cross on the back. That is a clear violation of the Establishment Clause as a state endorsement of the Christian religion. Please advise whether you agree and whether ASU will continue this practice. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter

why would this bother anyone...I'm not a Christian, and I wouldn't give two shits about a cross on my helmet, for the opportunity to play CFB, I'd tattoo one on my forehead

I never understand people who start off their day looking to be offended

The sticker doesn't endorse Christianity, but in the world we live in just do a circle with a number or initials.
On a side note, we have trained all of society to search for ways to pretend to be offended. It has become extremely obnoxious.

this is why ppl do not like athetists and other ppl that get their panties in a wad about religion. The players wanted to honor 2 fallen comrades who were probably Christian.

Normally I argue on the side of those arguing for the Establishment Clause, but this is just fricking retarded.

Yes, this is very serious. Probably the most serious issue we face in this country today. I hope Obama addressed this cross in his speech last night about some other nonsense that isn't worth my time to care about.

Buckeye leaves are Marijuana leaves!! Ban the stickers!!
Let Arkansas State keep the stickers. The world is dumb.

I was watching that game, saw the zoom-in of the decal on the helmets and personally gave it 2 seconds of thought, and then wondered if people would complain about it.

Adam Carolla always says on his podcast that the real atheists are the ones you never hear about because they truly don't give a frick about trivial things like this.

Maybe it was an atheist, but why do you assume it wasn't a person of some other faith?

Militant atheists are truly the most miserable human beings in the world. I have no problems with religion - I have my beliefs, you have yours. I'm not going to be the guy to shove it in your face, but these assholes are the one who will throw an absolute three year old shite fit if they see ANYTHING that resembles religion. Annoying human beings.

I like how this turned into a "bash atheists" thread.
I don't care what they put on their helmet.

They should just slap a huge arse sticker with michael Sam on the back of their helmets
