Twelve-year-old leukemia patient Mary Elizabeth Paris has enjoyed few things more than the movie "Napoleon Dynamite" while she's waiting for a bone marrow transplant at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

"Mary Elizabeth just mentioned to one of her favorite nurses that she loved 'Napoleon Dynamite,'" Mary Elizabeth's mother, Mandi Paris, said. "And the next day, she brought [Mary Elizabeth] the movie. We have watched that movie probably 15 times!"

As NBC's Atlanta affiliate reports, Mary Elizabeth loved the movie so much, she thanked her nurses with Napoleon Dynamite's signature wave: the butterfly lotus, when interlocking fingers make a butterfly motion away from the face. Mary Elizabeth's nurses even completely redecorated the young patient's hospital room entirely in gold.

After hearing just how much Mary Elizabeth loved the movie, "Napoleon Dynamite" star Jon Heder, who played the film's titular character, decided to send Mary Elizabeth a very special video message, channeling his Napoleon Dynamite character.

"So I heard your nurses decorated your room and made it gold," Heder said. "That's pretty much the best color of all time."

Heder even signed off the video with Mary Elizabeth's favorite Napoleon move, the butterfly lotus, leaving Mary Elizabeth in high spirits as she prepares for her bone marrow transplant.

Really cool, I think Jon Heder is a class act. Yeah he does stupid funny movies, but you never hear about him getting into crap like other stars.

The last line is perfect: "Do you want to play me?"

Lafonda, Grandma, Pedro, Deb and Uncle Rico. Man, it was strong.
