Looking forward to Cleveland

Alright. Our defense got destroyed. We sucked arse. It's over. Let's hope for corrections and take a peak at our next game.
People seem to be sleeping on Cleveland. They just took the Steelers to the last minute in Pitt. On offense, the Browns committed no turn overs, while defensively they picked off Big Ben once.
Their passing game is not spectacular and suffered a hit on Sunday with TE Cameron getting injured in the third quarter and is questionable for Sunday. Josh Gordon (hopefully) will not be back yet. If our secondary cannot handle this passing attack that amassed less than 300 yards, we are in trouble. This is a perfect rebound.
Their ground game isn't mind blowing either. They lost Tate for 2 weeks and are relying on the rookie West, who looked pretty good.
The Steelers really handled them at half leading 27-3 but only scored 3 points in the second half. I expect the Saints to take a big lead and continue it in the second half. That shouldnt be a concern.
This will be a good measurement for our defense. Our offense should have no issues scoring. If we just TACKLE the Saints should win 27-10.

Didn't realize the Saints all-time record against the Browns until I heard it on the radio Monday.

for those wondering, its 4-12 all time. however, under Payton we are 1-1.
the loss was one of those typical games, like the Rams, where we slept and did not come to play. After the loss on Sunday, I dont think we will have that mentality.

Sounds like Gordon will be back
Had 3 backs rush for over 6YPC. The ground game is our strength on offense.

i think he will be back sometime this season. i doubt it Sunday. It is now Wednesday with no word or inclination a decision is reached. If it comes out Friday, does he really suit up and is effective on Sunday? Not sure. but as it stands, hes not back.

one of those wont be playing. as I said, West looked good. but it sounds like yall are going to be very obviously, one dimensional.

Werder reported on SC about an hour ago that NFL players have agreed to a new policy.

He practiced all preseason. He is effective out there if only as a decoy.

Hoyer threw for 230 yards last week without Gordon. Not completely one dimensional.
And here is the latest on the drug issue
@RapSheet 1m
Player reps will spend the next 24 hours reviewing details on drug policy issues. If all goes well, vote in next few days — before Sunday

That doesn't mean that Gordon will be automatically reinstated and play this week.
And yeah, Cleveland's ground game was very strong.

If he is reinstated, which it sounds like he will be, he will play this week.

what is the next few days? its decided Saturday and he plays Sunday?
either way, the Browns' offense isnt that scary with a RB and TE hurt. You dont have the firing power of the falcons. but our defense was atrocious last week. So this is a good measuring stick.
But the Browns' defense isnt great either, giving up nearly 500 yards as well.

I can see Goodell cutting his suspension down to a few games due to the DUI.
I picked him up and fantasy so I want him to play.

If the new drug policy is enacted, his year long suspension will be voided. Goodell will have no say in it.
The DUI is a separate incident, and will end up a reckless op, not a DUI. Either way, the NFL rarely if ever suspends folks for the their first DUI.
