On both his performance (not perfect, but it wasn't disastrous, either) and his attitude.

After choosing to play for the Tigers over rival Crimson Tide, Dodd, a former four-star recruit, sat out his first year in Baton Rouge with a shoulder injury.
“When I first visited here [LSU], I wanted to commit but my parents told me to wait,” Dodd said. “Tuscaloosa is close to home so it was very appealing but I knew there is where i wanted to be. I don’t regret it.”
With Pocic returning from injury and senior center Elliott Porter slated to start after returning from suspension, Dodd is unfazed about his play time.
“I still have three more years,” Dodd said. “I’m in no hurry.”

That kid showed that he can handle the game speed. I like what he said that he will have this time..

It was great to get him that experience. Hope it motivates him to continue to work hard and continue to improve.

Dodd is good enough to play guard. He's playing center right now because it is a position of need.
Likewise, Clapp is good enough to play either guard spot or center. The best 5 will play, in whatever configuration. I just like the kid's attitude. "I'm in no hurry." Not necessarily the right attitude for a 5-star RB or whatever, but perfect for an OL, DT or QB.

I think he's our future at center - Pocic is a natural guard.
