Congressmen-Presidents pensions why do they get them?

Both are nearly $200K per YEAR!! And ALL of the blood sucking bastards get plush speaking gigs or work for some lobbying outfit for stupid money.

Should this be changed?

Yes....but the people getting them are the only ones that can change it...same way they keep giving themselves raises.

The average Congressional pension isn't that high.

The amount should be zero. Why are we still paying them when they are out of office? When I change jobs I don't continue to get paid. The money that goes to retired politicians could be put to much better use.
