It was Harped on all post Wisconsin.... Regardless of opponent the dude went out and went 23 of 28 for 289 yards.....

What does this mean? absolutely nothing. Or it means WE look forward to teams that think they can pass on us as their first option.....

You have to love the way our guys have covered and competed in the first two games of 2014.

Funn how tSECr went from "Wisconsin had a terrible QB and offense" to "crickets".

Good point...but I am more impressed that we shut down the SHSU attack. I really thought they would be able to move the ball at least a little bit against us with their veteran QB and receivers.

It's pretty clear that we have one of the best, if not the best, secondaries in the country. This will pay big dividends in October and November.

our defensive backfield is our strength. I don't believe many teams will look at passing as the first option against our D.

As a Unit so far they have been an A++++,

let's not forget 4 ints too... I think I read a statistic that in the 4th quarter they have given a qb rating in the 20s

That's what we were missing last season.

I don't think anyone doubts that our secondary is very good. It's the DL most are concerned about.

Improvement from Ronald Martin and consistency from Jalen Mills are the 2 biggest keys to a successful secondary this season. Both have been playing lights out so far

Fck ESPN and all their propaganda right now. They are crusading to get other old schools back in the limelight and will hype up anything or nothing that they do. USC for example. They act as if they have played lights out and Penn State is the new savior.

I believe later in the year people will realize what such a good win Wisky was when they win the Little 10.

And when they start substituting, I think we get quicker faster, or just fresher...loaded.

10.32 yards per attempt

12.57 yards per completion

Long of 37 yards and several others over 20 yards

That's not really dink-and-dunk.

Our secondary is def a force to reckon with but our D-line & LB's need to step it up because, as you mentioned, not many teams are going to try to pass on us which means they will try to run it down our throats, shorten the game, & put pressure on our young offense to put points up. MSU is going to test our D-line & LB's, that game is going to show us a lot in terms of where the rest of our defense is.
