Didn't adjust well to the heat, a lot to learn as a middle linebacker, is going to redshirt

Just like our boys don't adjust well to the cold. Give it time.

He is not redshirting according to Miles today.

Good! Redshirting is silly with all the players we lose early.

IF he can't jump either Welter or Beckwith then I think a redshirt would be a good idea for him. A few plays this year aren't going to help him in any meaningful way.

Suppose he gets hurt later on and would benefit from recoving and playing another year of college ball before heading to the NFL!

Multiple reasons a redshirt would be good for him.

Now if he moves up in the rotation then

You have a hole to fill at the position, you get a 5* guy, why not give him a chance? I think he's big enough to play this year, I guess it's just too much to ask for a freshman to lead the defense and position everyone (although I read on tRant that Kwon does that anyways... I can't really tell from TV).

It's not about his physical presence. It's about doing what he's coached do. Has to learn the position like Chavis wants it played.

If you saw him practice once it would be enough for you to know that this kid should be on the field at some point. He's in a tough spot behind welter and beckwith, but this kid is a grown man and moves very fluidly. I would suspect coverage and being able to adjust the defense are holding him back for now. I see Miles has commented on him getting some time. Somebody is about to get knocked out if that's the case.

Being a 5-star, I'm guessing CG was told he wouldn't redshirt. So, he'll work in.

We are in a good position at MLB with Beckwith starting to really come on.
