What other things could you do away from work that would cost you your job?

Phil from DC was nearly fired because of his views on homosexuality. Are we coming to a place in this country where people will be fired for not being PC enough?

PC has nothing to do with hitting your wife.

Aside from the obvious ones like murder and rape, a DUI. I'd be fired even if I was innocent. Even being charged with one is enough to do it, and if I got a DUI, I'd resign before they could fire me.

Call in sick on a Saturday and get spotted by a coworker at the football game. Happened to me 10 years ago. Rat bastard.

Losing your job for hitting your wife is all about PC. Why else would the NFL care?

This is not about condoning someone's actions, but rather realizing that you have not place to respond.

I have employees, I can tell you, I only care about how productive they are, or how profitable they are for me.

We already are

It's better to lie and be politically correct than to be honest on just about any subject

So you don't mind hiring a thugged out coke dealer with 6 arrests on his record as long as he can do whatever his job commands at a productive rate?

Domestic abuse and an opinion on homosexuality are not the same things. Ray Rice knocking the frick out if his (now) wife is not an issue of political correctness. You can't possibly be this dense, can you?

This whole post is dumb

Committing a crime has nothing to do with political correctness

I had a guy one time that did very well for me. I do not care what he did at home. I would disapprove if he hit his wife, but no way would I fire him or sanction him at work for what he did at home. That could change if people begin to go to my competition as a result.

Why does the NFL care? What, people going to start watching soccer?

Ray Lewis anyone?

This. Most employers don't want employees that routinely assault people.

Of course they are. It is all about public opinion. What does either have to do with a guys ability to play the game?

I would be much more concerned of JM flipping off fans than I would about what a guy does on his own time.
