I usually do not keep up with popular rap music, so this could be Germans. This dude is raw. I was completely blown away. Who is this guy and why haven't I heard of him?

Used to rap with Lupe Fiasco back in his Food & Liquor / The Cool days. I think he went by Gemini back then and has a few features on those albums. He's got some good stuff.

So he is still relatively unknown? Is he highly respected amongst rappers? Maybe it's just me, but he lyrically sounds superior to anything currently out there.

Right now I think he is more or less retired. He was gathering a following after his 2nd mixtape but walked away to pursue gospel singing. He came back with a more religiously themed 3rd mixtape and has been mostly quiet since.
