Patriots need to get Brady some real weaopons.

I agree with Luck but Brady still got it.
You are not factoring in enough the lack of receivers and play makers he has at his disposal. Any other elite QB would look similiar in this offense.

The Patriots have been refusing to get Brady weapons for the past 8 years or so. It's frankly mind boggling. It's almost like Belichek and Kraft are in some weird secret bet to win the Super Bowl with as little talent as possible.
They NEVER use their cap space and they're easily one of the richest and most valuable franchises in American pro sports. It's simply baffling - and the lack of outcry from their fans is baffling as well.

Well when you consistently win without these weapons what do you expect?

randy moss
welker
gronk
hernandez
amendola
they give him guys, the last few years they've been bitten by the injury/murder bug. There was a day when TB could make david patten look like an NFL wide receiver

None of those guys aside from Moss is a #1 NFL wide receiver. And they haven't had a good RB in about as long.

1 game. Last year with inferior talent he threw for 4300yds and 29 TDs.

gronnkowski is a #1 receiver for all intents and purposes and they've had talent in the backfield...BB has proven to be a regular Sean Payton when it comes to mismanaging his RB talent
I wouldn't argue he doesn't have what he should. They continue to punish him for giving them a cap friendly deal...people used to point to the patriots, ooh players want to win, they take friendly deals
they pretty much ensured that is never going to happen again. They took the savings and, well they just took the savings

I didn't say he sucked balls, I'm saying his best days are gone. And I'm a TB fan.

Statistically speaking along with his age you're probably right. But I don't want to live in that world.

then why are we "debating"? I totally agree with what you say about Brady being the consummate franchise player and always restructuring, taking less than top dollar (unlike Manning and Brees, to be blunt) in order to allow NE as much flexibility as possible. But yep - NE hasn't rewarded him in turn.

This is what's the most puzzling. Kraft would have made far more money by winning another Super Bowl or two more recently in the Patriots' run of greatness. Yeah, they're a "dynasty" but they could have been the all-time greatest dynasty (and the longest tenured dynasty) in the NFL - and they could have achieved that DURING the most parity-friendly era of the sport, making it all the more impressive. Kraft's already a billionaire - why does pocketing an unused $6.5 million or so every year turn him on so much?

I don't debate. I do think the fact that he is a diminished player contributes to how he's played the last two years...maybe he gives less of a frick considering the pats are cool with Julius eddelman being his #1 WR

He's really got the perfect life (actually, I think Derek Jeter's setup is more fun, but you get the point). I don't see how human nature would prevent him from caring a little bit less.

no one is talking about peyton manning, go somewhere else

yep sucks.
Matt Ryan will throw for 7000 yards this year because game 1 = how everything will play out all year.
