Here's some words of wisdom for all you stupid arse Chicken Little fake fans from an x offensive lineman that played for the Bills:

quote:

@JasonLaCanfora: RT @RossTuckerNFL: I was on '03 Bills team that beat Pats 31-0 in Week 1. They went 14-2 & won Super Bowl. We went 6-10. Everybody chillax its just week one.

I mean, we lost by three, to a division rival, at their place, on opening day.

Our offense played fine. Our defense did not. They have to improve in Week 2. I have faith the adjustments will be made.

There was a ton of hype leading into this year and we opened with a letdown. No surprise people are in shock the following morning.

I don't remember drew Bledsoe throwing for 450 yards and 3 TDs...it's ok though, the sky isn't falling. We're a playoff team, but thank god for my fantasy team because that defense is going to suck all year.

And honestly I think that some of our players bought into this and slept on the Falcons.

Next week you will see a different team. It may be better that this happened now to wake them up.

Here's some words of wisdom for you. Dont come to this page once in a decade after a loss like yesterday and give your opinion when nobody gives a shite what you have to say.

We will be fine i'm sure...but every loss will decrease our chances for homefield in the playoffs.

And seeing how that's a golden ticket to the Super Bowl i really really really really want it.

People thinking it should have been a cake walk because we were so much better on paper need to remember this fact. The worst teams in the divisions have often posed problems for the best teams. You play each other twice a year every year, you often have players that used to be on the other team, and there usually is some level of rivalry or disdain motivating players.

I will say that champions find ways to win the close ones. It's too early to write this team off as a non contender, but they did fail the first test.

Fox calm down, go back and look at last years week one stats, our D sucked in week one last year too.

I've had some time. I'm not selling on the season. The best team doesn't always win the super bowl

colts
giants
giants
ravens

and so forth. I think the defense will improve, but it's improving from the bottom. Terrible performance and effort. Byrd was the only one worth anything out there and even he missed a tackle that was a TD...1 sack on a 3rd string LT. I think a lot of people are underselling how dreadful the D was. I still think we're a contender, but it's disappointing to take a step back on defense with contracts given, vaccaro's 2nd year and the huge byrd signing

This. Our team bought their own hype and paid for it. And Ryan was scared to take risks with blitzes because of how God awful PRob and CWhite are. I don't know what the solution is there.

Agreed. And it goes to show you how much of a presence Greer was.

I'm not buying we slept on the falcons. I'm buying our offense had two huge costly turnovers with a defense that got its fricking arse kicked and could barely smell matt ryan's deodorant.

What's funny is we are one 50 yard missed field goal away from having a W, and this board having a whole different outlook. Sure everyone would still be worried about the D, but I'm willing to bet most people would think of it more as an aberration than anything.

It's the NFL, anyone can win any given week. shite, we lost to a 2 win St. Louis team the year we went 13-3. People need to chill the frick out.

I'm not worried at all. Another positive were how few penalties we had.

win or lose, there was going to be concern about the defense...every unit, every level, all the time

they sucked hard yesterday. Not saying they cannot turn it around (don't think they can, but I'm wrong all the time) but a legitimate concern and not a week 1 overreaction

for words of wisdom, Shanle tweeted-

Remember @saints fans it could be worse you could have Dallas defense! ?? #boom #lowblow
#staypositive #longseasonahead

and

Saints d back to basics.get rid of the noise n the preseason hype.its tougher in yr2 w new coordinator since teams in division studied u now

https://twitter.com/scottshanle

the 2nd year point is sumpin I wondered too. How much of the success last year was just from surprise/newness? The defense is improved personnel wise. Gelling doesn't happen instantly. How about this... the defense might not be as good statistically this year but still improve overall- primarily turnovers.
