Admittedly it's mostly the tunes that I like. But I've found the story itself is a nice tight little plot and the acting good (though not exceptional of course).

One of the local stations here will occasionally play On the Dark Side.

I enjoyed both it and the sequel.

I'm like you - what would, today, be no more than a forgettable made-for-television movie is kind of an enjoyable, guilty pleasure. And the music carries it no question. There is a lot to be said for a movie that knows what it is, delivers that without trying to bend or stretch into something it is not.

Hated the sequel because it ruined the great ending of the first one.

I thought that movie was cool as shite when I was a little kid, so I still stop and watch when comes back on TV.

Pretty good cast, great soundtrack, and an interesting look at the life of a regional touring band on the vege of breaking out.

You got some fine college here, all the advantages, Ivy Walls, Full Dress Balls, and you got the Cruisers for the nasty stuff.

For some reason I never saw the sequel. Heck, I don't remember if I ever even heard there was one.

Sequel wasn't that bad for the time and for what it was.

The first one was really good, though. Loved that movie as a kid.

And, the soundtrack was great. NYC Song was one of my favorites. Tender Years. On the Dark Side. Good stuff.

Remember seeing the trailer for Cruisers 2 in theaters and thinking, shite, when did they make a first one?

Finally saw the first one, which was cool, but the second was straight cheese and one of the worst trailers ever.

They had Dark side playing last night at the Isle of Capri. Love the movie i thought the sequel wrapped it up quite nicely actually, everyone knew he wasn't dead after part 1.
