no pass rush, no tackling...$100 million worth of dynamic, playmaking safeties playing 40 yds behind the LoS...

i'm not sure if i even remember a play where we drove a ballcarrier back, seemed like they fell forward everytime.

They're still soft. They couldn't stop us on offense and just kept tripping over our own dicks on defense

and then our d-line that is supposed to be so young and talented couldn't do shite against atlanta's 3rd string tackles and our secondary may as well have consisted of tackling dummies...

i mean come on, 80 yards in 20 seconds.

I didn't like the whole country club TC thing. I think we babied guys with minor injuries and didn't get ready for an NFL season. All that talk of how you can't concentrate when you're playing in 95 degrees in Jackson and how much mentally sharper the preparation was--well, we saw how sharp we were.

Yeah obviously he key to getting ready for a season is 2 a days in 95 degree heat and making people with injuries practice through it

i don't think the location of camp had anything to do with anything, but i certainly thought they played tougher and with more intensity than we did. of course, that could be because we generally own them.

also, rafael bush running his mouth and then getting roasted all game was a sight to see.

WE tripped over our own dicks on offense too. We don't get picked in the redzone we win. We don't fumble in OT.. hey who knows

You can't blame this loss on the offense. Anytime you score 34 points you should win

offense gets like 5% of the blame. Pick in the endzone was as much of a game-losing play as the 20-second FG turned out to be.

Not saying you do 2 a days in 95 degrees--teams aren't even allowed to do 2 a days anymore. But I just didn't sense a lot of intensity during this TC or preseason. Maybe Payton dialed things back too much.

This game really doesn't change much for the saints or tell us much about them. They're still one of the strongest teams in the league and will be a top 2-3 seed. They will get better and better as the season goes on. Today felt like a preseason game.
