Usually it's just the wife and I going to games and we park at the lot on Stanford along the lake and walk in. I try to avoid driving through the heart of campus at all on game days and traffic is typically minimal there when we leave at halftime ( ). Well yesterday we were given a parking pass in 406 across Skip Bertman Dr. from Vet School. What's the best route to take to get to 406? I'll be coming from Hammond area was thinking about taking the Essen/Starring route to River Road. Does anyone have a better recommendation? FWIW, we won't be leaving Hammond until 3:30-4ish.

I would go River road , it won't be busy until you get real close to skip Bertman. Tailgated many years at vet school and River road worked fine.

And since you leave at halftime you will be in the worst traffic. That's when everybody else Leaves.

You would be amazed at the traffic if you stayed till the end. There is none.

Seriously though, skip Bertman is one of the easier spots to access on gameday. Most people fight to get into inner campus. There is always a cop at River road and its a quick in and out.
