If you were this LSU team's head coach, would you likely..........?

1. ........use games like this (games in which you are heavily favored) to practice everything you've got, using mainly starters/1's, such that you get to practice as many of your packages/as much of your total o and d as possible, against someone other than yourself, or
2. ......win this game while showing as little as possible, get the "1's" out as quickly as possible, and try to hide more of "what you've got"?
Assume, for argument's sake, that you're ahead comfortably at halftime, and it's obvious that if you wanted, you could score at will with the 1's in, and hold SH to little or nothing with your "1's" in on defense.
Does your answer to this question change year by year, based on the number of returning starters?
What do you think Miles will do? Practice everything, or show as little as he can?

Knowing Miles, he will show nothing...he will continue to practice the toss dive and sweep, and maybe the read option...throw the long ball, with very vanilla routes...
1's will play a lot, but will get some 2's & maybe a few 3's some reps on both sides of the ball...

win the damn game first. Get a 3-4 TD lead, THEN get cute and practice things you want to practice. Run the normal offense and defense, just use it to get your younger players and bench game experience.

With a team this young, come up with a winning strategy and stick with it. Get your starters reps. Only consider mop-up duty for the last 2 series/8 minutes.

Wasn't trying to be stealthy/not sure what you're seeing.
I was just seriously seeking the board's opinion on whether you use games like this to practice a buncha stuff, or do you keep a buncha stuff hidden, and no matter what you do, does your strategy change if you're a veteran team as opposed to a young team.

It does not seem that other teams do other than play hard as they can and put up numbers. We do not do that.

We have enough cupcake games to get the 1s up to speed while getting the 2s quality reps.

I would bust arse and build a big lead. then, i'd run about fifty screen passes in a row until AJ learned how to execute them.
